The Lawful Access to Encrypted Data Act

The Lawful Access to Encrypted Data Act is a bill meant to protect national security requiring “service providers and device manufacturers to provide assistance to law enforcement when access to encrypted devices or data is necessary,” introduced June 23, 2020.

Backdoors can create a way for people with malicious intentions to gain access to all of your information. Encryption protects you from having unauthorized users access your data because encryption is a lock to all of your information for a key that only you have.
