IMO one of the most exciting stories from Computex this week is the new generation of 5G enabled, "always on", Snapdragon powered laptops. However, I've been comparing so-called "unlimited" data plans available throughout N. America for about an hour now, and I just don't get it.
Doesn't 5G just mean that I can use up my data-allowance even faster than before by viewing a shorter duration of higher quality streaming video, and then have lots of battery life left over so I can stare forlornly at my 5G device while not being able to use it as... you know, a modern connected device?
What am I missing?
