Verizon plans to launch 5G internet and TV service in Los Angeles in October

Verizon Communications Inc., taking a key step toward rolling out a speedier internet and pay-TV service across the U.S., will start offering a fifth-generation package on Oct. 1 in Los Angeles and three other cities, with sign-ups beginning this week.
